Natalie Monbiot

Natalie Monbiot pioneers ethical approaches to AI that extend human capabilities rather than replace them. As Founder of Virtual Human Economy (VHE), she develops and implements strategies for AI technologies that allow people to expand their reach while maintaining control over their digital identity.

Previously, as a founding executive at Hour One, Natalie helped create one of the first commercially successful AI avatar companies, pioneering a system where real people could be compensated for their digital likenesses. This work established her as a leader in creating ethical frameworks for AI representation.

Natalie’s TEDx talk, “Can your ‘digital twin’ be trustworthy?”, addresses the practical challenges of maintaining authenticity and trust when using AI to represent humans in digital spaces.

Before 2019, Natalie worked as a digital media executive shaping innovation for brands including Samsung, BMW, and Sony.

Natalie’s work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, and MIT Technology Review. She speaks regularly at major technology conferences including Web Summit, SXSW, and Fortune Brainstorm AI, focusing on tangible approaches to developing AI that enhances human potential rather than diminishing it.
